Full Root-level Access
What does the full root-level access feature include? What rights will it bestow you with? How to log into your server as root?
Having root-level access to your server signifies that you'll be able to view and modify any file on it, including crucial system files. You may also install software that can change particular settings on your server throughout the, so the installation can be done only if you're signed in as the root user. The aforementioned has full privileges, i.e. you will have full control over the machine at any time and you'll be able to do anything you need. You may also create additional users either with identical rights or with fewer rights, according to what you need them for - daily tasks, other server admins, etcetera. To be on the safe side, it's usually recommended to employ the root account only when you really need it and not for tasks which can be done via other accounts. You may use a web-based graphical interface or a Secure Shell console to connect with the server and to control it at the root level.

Full Root-level Access in VPS Servers
Our
VPS servers include different degrees of access, so as to give you the option to choose the one you need, based on your level of experience and on what you'll need the server for. If you purchase a VPS with no Control Panel, you'll have full root-level access and you will take care of everything using a console, unless you set up some third-party instrument. The servers that are ordered with the DirectAdmin or the cPanel hosting Control Panel also come with full root access, but most of the things which are linked to your world-wide web content can be performed using a graphical interface and not a console. You'll be able to set up various frameworks or media streaming software, for example, without any problems. When you obtain the virtual server with the Hepsia Control Panel, you can still use a Secure Shell console to connect, but the root access is restricted. Yet, the Hepsia-equipped servers are the simplest to manage.

Full Root-level Access in Dedicated Servers
You'll have full root-level access to your
dedicated server regardless of what package you select throughout the signup process, as long as the server is ordered with cPanel or DirectAdmin, or with no website hosting Control Panel at all. In each of these 3 cases, you are able to update any part of the software environment in any way you find fit, which makes our server plans perfect for resource-demanding apps with specific requirements which can't be covered when you use a shared web hosting account. The main difference between these options is that when you choose cPanel or DirectAdmin, you will have a web-based graphical interface to control various server-side options as well as any website content which you generate or upload, whereas if you order the server without a Control Panel, you'll have to perform everything with a Secure Shell console or to set up a Control Panel of your liking, if it's compatible with the Operating System that you have selected during the sign up process. With the final Control Panel option which you'll be able to choose on our order page - Hepsia, the root access will be limited.
