Multiple OS
Find out which Operating Systems you are able to run on your server.
Each and every personal computer or web server is run by an Operating System - the low-level software which communicates with the computer hardware, including peripherals such as a mouse and a printer, as well as any apps that are currently installed on your system. Any program input using a command line or a Graphical User Interface (GUI) is processed by sending an Application Program Interface (API) request to the OS. On a server, every single application runs within the parameters set by the OS as well - priority, physical memory, processing time, etcetera. This goes for both standard site scripts and server-side software such as a media server. In case a virtual server is created on a physical one, there can be two different Operating Systems, named guest OS and host OS, which means that you will be able to set up a different software environment on the very same machine.

Multiple OS in VPS Servers
Our
VPS server packages come with three Linux releases which you could select from for the Operating System of your new web server - Debian, Ubuntu and CentOS. Aside from being cost-free, the OSs are extremely stable and protected and the main reason to offer all 3 of them is to make sure that you can run any app that you would like, since different pieces of software could have different requirements about the environment they can be used on. Each of the three OSs is backed by a vast community of web developers who have made thousands of software packages which you can install and use on your VPS. Depending on the Operating System which you pick, you will also be able to select between 3 different Control Panels to handle your website hosting content. Also, in case you decide that you need a different OS, we could always reinstall the server with it. As an additional upgrade, we also offer you weekly updates of the OS for maximum stability and security.

Multiple OS in Dedicated Servers
If you decide to buy one of our
dedicated servers, you'll find three Operating Systems on the order page because we want to give you a broader choice regarding the system environment on your server as different apps may have certain requirements. CentOS, Ubuntu and Debian feature different modules developed by their huge support communities, so you can select each of these OSs and benefit from a stable and safe Internet hosting service. Based on your choice, you'll also have different Control Panels to choose from. Needless to say, we can always replace the Operating System if the one you've selected in the beginning doesn't meet the requirements of the software that you intend to run. We can also upgrade the OS regularly in order to keep it as risk-free as possible using our Managed Services upgrade package.
