A: When your present hosting provider can no longer meet the demands of your website, or if you undergo continuous downtime, or if you have to wait for hours for the support staff to reply back to you, it may be smart to switch your web hosting provider, i.e. to transfer all the files for your websites along with your databases from your current provider to your future provider. At Future Techniques, we know that this can often be hard & time–consuming. That’s the reason why we’ll perform all that for you for free!Our highly competent technical team reps will transfer your website content from your present web hosting provider to us. Our technicians have plenty of experience with web site migration and are able to handle everything – from a conventional WordPress weblog or Joomla^™ CMS–powered website, to a highly complex, custom–built application.

A: There are plenty of factors to keep in mind – the overall number of web files, the size of the database, the complexity of the site itself and the current workload of our web site migration professionals, etc. However, we do try to perform all website migrations in a 48–hour window. Smaller–sized sites are transferred faster – usually in under 24 hours.

A: We’ll need the login information for your current hosting provider’s Control Panel along with the website’s name (domain name).

A: In order for us to start the migration of your account, you must already have an account with us. Opening an account with us will require that you to disclose pretty much the same details you have provided to your previous hosting provider. We also have an extremely strict Privacy Policy, which describes how personal information is tackled.

A: Your site will continue to work exactly like it did before with your former hosting provider. As soon as we are through with the migration, your web site will be configured to work on our system and we will alert you to preview it. If it is working properly, all you will have to do is update the name server records associated with your domain. Your site will be transferred over to us without any downtime whatsoever.

A: While we migrate your website content, your hosting provider will not be aware of the transfer at all. We won’t contact them in any way.

A: Yeah. We support all standard Linux–powered hosting platforms. We do not support Windows–driven web hosting platforms, because we do not provide Windows web hosting services ourselves.Additionally, we do not support proprietary web site creation and administration tools such as Wix, BaseKit, Jimdo, Website Tonight, Four Square, Mr Site, etc.
